Account information: Email address and password when you create an account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
Restaurant information: Restaurant name, menu items, descriptions, prices, and images you upload to the Service.
Usage data: QR code scan counts, page views, language preferences, and device information for analytics. This data is aggregated and not linked to individual diners.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide the MenuLingo service (menu hosting, translations, allergen detection)
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Send service-related emails (menu staleness reminders, account notifications)
- Generate analytics for your dashboard
3. Diner Privacy
MenuLingo is designed with diner privacy in mind. Allergen filtering happens entirely on the diner's device (client-side JavaScript). We never collect, transmit, or store information about a diner's allergies or dietary requirements. No health-related data leaves the diner's browser.
4. AI Processing
Menu content is processed by AI models (Anthropic Claude) to generate translations, allergen suggestions, and descriptions. This processing occurs on secure third-party servers. We do not use your menu data to train AI models.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase — Database and authentication
- Stripe — Payment processing
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI translation and allergen detection
- Vercel — Hosting and deployment
- Resend — Transactional emails
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:

- Request deletion of your account and data
- Export your menu data
